Dr David Rogers

With 30 years of commercial and technical experience in engine research and development, Dave specialises in powertrain testing systems, instrumentation, and experimental workflows. Currently, he focuses on pioneering areas such as in-cylinder pressure measurement chains, closed-loop combustion control, and model-based condition monitoring systems. This has led him to a significant interest in low and zero-carbon fuels, their impact on combustion system measurement and characterisation, and holistic development through robust experimentation methodologies.

Dave is a registered Chartered Engineer, European Engineer, and a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. He holds Masters and Doctoral degrees in Engineering research and currently serves as a Visiting Fellow in Combustion Pressure Measurement and Analysis, at Loughborough University.
